QUOTE


Every project is unique. To ensure the most accurate estimate, we'd like to have as many details as possible. Email us or fill out the form to make sure no details are left out. Here are a few basics we need to know to begin the project:

  • Size, quantity, type of printing, paper, and whether it is single-sided or double-sided.
  • Please let us know of any special finishes and/or custom requests.
  • For multiple item orders, we ask you to describe each item that comprises the order.
  • For a book, we also need to know the type of binding and the number of pages. If your book consists of 100 pages, that equals 50 double-sided sheets.
  • Reference images or any draft and files not only help us understand the project and make suggestions on paper and production methods but also enable us to advise you on any hidden challenges.




QUANTITY


There is no project too big or too small. However, keep in mind that any production process requires certain preliminary set up. For this reason, doing larger quantities is always more cost-effective. It’s especially true for any specialty printing.




TURNAROUND


Living in New York, we understand the value of a NY minute. We make certain most of our projects are completed within one to two weeks.




PAPER STOCK


  • We have a full selection of premium card stock with various finishes, as well as a variety of colors. We believe that paper is something you need to feel. Please contact us to get a sample(s) for a specific project or stop by our Chelsea location to discuss your options in person.
  • Have some paper that you're absolutely in love with? Bring it in to see if we can work with it.
  • Most of our stocks are fully or partially recycled and meet FSC (forest stewardship council) guidelines for responsibly harvested paper. Please reach out for more info on a specific brand for your project.




ENVIRONMENTAL FOOTPRINT


We understand the importance of minimizing our footprint on the environment.

  • We chose the HP Indigo digital press not only for its amazing printing qualities, but also because it’s designed with the environment in mind. It takes into account the full product lifecycle, supply chain, and end of life. Its reduction of waste and of power consumption per printed page, as well as “HP Supplies Take Back Program,” help us to maximize the benefits of digital printing for the environment.   • Most of our stocks are fully or partially recycled and meet FSC (forest stewardship council) guidelines for responsibly harvested paper. Please reach out for more info on a specific brand for your project.
  • We recycle all of our post-production materials.
  • Starting this year, we said no to plastic bags and are working on reducing our packaging supplies.

PAYMENT


  • For your convenience, we accept most credit and debit cards.
  • For our corporate clients, we provide various payment solutions.
  • You can also always stop by to make a deposit for your upcoming project or to pay for the completed order in person.




PROOF


  • To ensure that your project lives up to your expectations, we make a hard copy proof. In most cases, a flat proof is available the next business day after we start working on your order.
  • For rush projects or when seeing hard copy proof is not an option, we send you a picture of a printed sample. However, keep in mind that what you see on the screen may not be fully color-accurate and may miss certain technical nuances that can only be seen in person.
  • For any specialty printing, such as letterpress, foil stamping, engraving, etc., making plates and setting up a press are necessary in order to make a sample. Therefore, a hard-copy proof using any of these techniques is rarely done. We can still produce a digitally printed proof on the final paper, which enables you to sample the look and feel of the completed product.
  • For repeating orders, we send you a digital proof (PDF) to confirm we have the right file to print.




FILE


  • For most orders, 300 dpi PDFs in CMYK system, with bleeds, crop marks, and outlined fonts are the best.
  • Any Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign files need to be packaged.
  • We do not recommend printing from TIF, JPG, or PNG files.
  • Resolution for most large-format prints can be as low as 100 dpi without sacrificing the quality.

RUSH ORDERS


Have a rush project in mind? Let us know and we will do it in no time at all. Although we recommend getting in touch in advance to check on the specific timeframe.




PHOTO AND ART REPRODUCTION


To ensure the highest quality of the final product, we only print from digital sources.

  • Any physical copy of a photo or artwork must be digitalized first in order to be reproduced.
  • Please feel free to call or stop by to discuss whether we are the right fit for digitalizing your masterpiece.
  • We do not work with film negatives.




DELIVERY & SHIPPING


  • We provide delivery service within the city and ship within the states and worldwide.
  • To make sure the order is received on time, please discuss in advance the necessary logistics.




APPOINTMENT


  • For your convenience, any questions can be answered in person. In fact, we encourage you to drop by, especially for more elaborate projects. Just walk in during our working hours. No appointment necessary!
  • For design sessions, we ask you to schedule an appointment in advance. Please email us or schedule it using our online calendar to get in touch with our talented designers.
